The government of Cyrenia regretfully announces the death of Deputy Prime Minister Samuel Wilbert
early this morning due to pneumonia. A service will be held shortly and the micronation is in a state of mourning
and all flags have been lowered to halfmast for a month. The Prime Minister has appointed John Fuller as the new
deputy Prime Minister

on an official visit tommorow to North Plymouth to meet and discuss certain matters with Prince Edgar-Simon

The Grand Czar, Princess Regent and Grand Duchess have returned from North Plymouth with Prince Simon-Edgar
and announced there positive attitude to the developing university and other things. They also took a visit to the nearby
dartmoor, which although it is in United Kingdom territory, is an outstanding example of a national park, which the Grand
Czar is hoping to create in Alderley.

A funeral service was held today
for the former deputy Prime Minister and Second Margrave of the Protectorship Samuel Wilbert who died last week due to pneumonia.
It was attended by his friends and family as well as the Grand Czar, Grand Duchess, Prime Minister, Secretary of State, Princes
Julius, Simon-Edgar, Marco, Robert and Thomas and Princesses Claudia, Hannah, and Katherine.

In his role as Grand Vizier, the Grand Czar has declared the opening of Royal Cabinet on the
11th of April and the first meeting on the 12th. Expected issues are the concerns over the Grand Czar's ability to overide
the constitution and naming of the Prince or Princess Consort.

A spokesperson for the Grand Czar announced that him and his close family would be going on a journey from
today to the 9th of April to Paris (France), Interlaken (Switzerland) and Male' (Maldives) on a final search
for territory to annex, before preposing a bill to Parliament to ban any more territory expansion afterwards. This Bill would
eventually go to a public referendum.

from there visits to the Swiss Confederacy, French Republic, and Republic of Maldives where they were considering final territory
acquisitions before imposing a bar on acquiring new territory. They announced that the Maldivian islands of Vabbinfaru and
Angsana are to be annexed as the Viscounty of Vabbinfaru and Angsana, and the noble family of Holmes shall be the holders,

The nation is in mourning as the Grand Czar pays tribute to Pope John Paul II, an " outstanding
example of peace and purity to the leaders of the world" says His Most Gracious Eminence and Majesty. All flags in Cyrenia
have been lowered to half mast as a mark of respect to the deceased pontiff.

been declared in Cyrenia after the death of Prince Rainier of Monaco, who carved a tiny Micro-state into a thriving economic
centre and surprised the world with his fairy tale marriage to Grace Kelly. "As One of the only leaders many Montagasques

The Ceremonial opening of Royal
Cabinet took place today at 1:45 pm as His Most Gracious Eminence and Majesty the Grand Czar inside the Czarist Palace sat
upon the Imperial throne in front of the members of Royal Cabinet and representatives of the Houses of Conference and HIH
the Princess Regent representing the Grand Vizier (who is also the Grand Czar, so he was represented by another for obvious
reasons) performed the historic request of the opening of Royal Cabinet and said: "Your Most Gracious Eminence and
Majesty, I hereby do request in the name of the good people of Cyrenia that you do conform to the commencement of the
businesses of Your Royalty's Cabinet and that you do place your official amendment to the request upon this document,
I ask this humbly and in your name, my Lord.
And the Grand Czar's historic reply: "I conform to your request; for the good of the state, accipio
aetus opportunitas." This completed the opening, and the first meeting of Royal Cabinet will be tomorrow

Benedict XVI in the Papal conclave the Grand Czar has congratulated the new pontiff. Also in the news the Grand Czar's official
titles has been altered from His Most Gracious Eminence and Majesty to His Imperial Majesty.

Saint Georges Day has always been
a national holiday in Cyrenia because although the nation is both Russian and Czarist in theme, we must acknowledge our English
background and heritage. So, for his private celebrations, the Grand Czar invited Prince Julius and Member of Conference Tim
Wiseman and his daughter Natasha Wiseman to a Saint Georges day meal. Unfortunately the oven broke and it was impossible for
any food to be made, but the next day Prince Julius stayed round again for a celebrational barbecue in the Czarist palace's
Imperial gardens.

Flag changing day has finally
come a day late, and the Minister of State commented on the fact that the new flag was more nationally representative of Cyrenia. The
new flag itself, with the name ' The Tranquil Equilibrium' is now the new national flag of Cyrenia in all its
business. The old flag, the 'eldritch colours' is to be Prince Emil's personal banner

The Houses of Conference have passed
the Territory bar bill 2005 by a majority of 72% in the House of Parliament and 53% in the House of Nobles. If the bill
is passed on Wednesday in the public referendum then it will become a Decree and be made law. However, recent polls show that
the public is not as positive towards the bill as Conference is and many are predicting a forced clause in the bill somewhere.

The Public have disapproved of the Territory bar bill today in a referendum showing 65% of the
vote against the bill entirely or wanting it to be reformed. The Minister of State is expected to form a conferencial
committee to draft some new clauses and exceptions into the bill.

"We will have Radio Cyrenia up and running within the month" said Minister of Information and
Media Angela Carr during a press conference. Using the latest Apple iPod and iTrip technology, a Cyrenian Bureau of Broadcasting
is expected to be formed by the end of the month, according to Ms Carr

A General Election has been announced on the 4th of July. It will be the second in Cyrenia's
history (the last was held on the 8th of January) and Minister of State David Whaley said he was calling it because the amount
of citizens had gone up wildly since the last election and said the current government may no longer be truly representative
of the wishes of the population. The campaigning will begin on the 21st when News Online will bring you a comprehensive
report. Conference will be dissolved on the 19th.

The Foreign Minister, His Highness Prince Julius, announced today that after talks with the Grand
Duchy of Westarctica, Cyrenia would relinquish all it's claims to Westarctican territory in Antarctica. A treaty is soon to
be signed and from that point onwards Cyrenia will be known as the Empire and Grand Czardom of Cyrenia and Antarctica. But,
furthermore, a state of mutual recognition will exist between the nations. Also, conference was dissolved today in the
ceremony known as prorogation.

and constructing this site, announced the formation of an MSN group to serve as a basis for Cyrenia's political parties, to

(22nd May 05) The Beginning of the election
campaign has been postponed until the 4th of June because of pressing foreign business, the Minister of State said. "The Foreign
Minister has been negotiating with Westarctica, who have been very helpful and friendly, but has also been travelling all
over Cyrenia to gain peoples views over the Territory bar bill, while I have been in Wales all week looking into the possibility
of acquiring some territory there as a clause in the bill." he continued. (25th May 05)
The Bureau of Linguistics, a sector of the Department for Science and Research, has announced
the creation of an English spelling reform programme. The Bureau, which is responsible for assisting the Grand Czar in the
creation of the Cyrenian Language, said that the reform would not be used on the website but versions of official documents
and literature will be published in it.

The Election campaign has got back underway with Mari Schneidar, leader of the opposition, launching
the Cyrenian Green Party's Manifesto and Special 'How our policies affect you' simplified guide to the Manifesto. In reply
the Assistant Minister of State and Cyrenian Liberalist Party Deputy Head John Fuller announced the party's 'Green Scheme'
and Education Programme, which mainly focused on the newly founded University of Weitakerbuurg, and nominating candidates
for the University's Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor. Also in the news this website is to be the subject of rigorous reconstruction, as
obvious from the new look of the site. Internet Specialist in the Ministry of Information and Media, Wilhelm van der
Gelder, told us that all the same original texts and graphics would be used but the pages would be made to look neater and
more professional, with easier access to the required information. "It looked very messy before and it was difficult to find
the information you needed" he told us.

The Grand Czar has pledged his support to the 'make poverty history' campaign, which, run by Comic Relief, aims to stamp
out poverty in Africa by calling for debt cancellation with no conditions, trade justice and improved and better aid. As you
can see, several bannners have been placed around the site and th Grand Czar has purchased a white wristband to pledge his
